Rita Gigante: The Godfather’s Daughter and Choosing Forgiveness
Welcome to this episode of The Tori Nook Talk Show! In this episode, Tori sits down with Rita Gigante, author of The Godfather’s Daughter: An Unlikely Story of Love, Healing, and Redemption, a wellness leader, teacher, speaker and energy healer who has spent her life helping people break unhealthy patterns and learn to trust themselves. Rita is the daughter of Vincent Gigante, one of the most notorious organized crime figures in American history, and she is also featured in Tori’s forthcoming book, Intuitive Certainty.
The youngest of five, Rita split her childhood between Bergen County, New Jersey and Greenwich Village. She was a highly sensitive child in a house full of secrecy, absorbing everyone’s energy without understanding what she was picking up, and she did not learn what her father actually did until she was sixteen. A psychic opening in her twenties sent her toward massage therapy, personal training and eventually healing work, and she built four income streams and her own identity before she ever wrote a word of the book.
They discuss empathy as a gift and a burden, family expectations, boundaries, generational patterns, and what forgiveness actually requires.
