Have you ever noticed how certain people or places leave you feeling energized?
One of the highest-energy events I attend is the GlobeSt. Women of Influence Conference. I’m looking forward to being back in Denver this July.
What I love most about these all-women events is the atmosphere in the room. The energy is supportive, collaborative, and encouraging all at once. You leave professionally inspired and personally energized. If you’re interested in attending, here’s the link.
Experiences like this reinforce a theme I explore in Intuitive Certainty: your energy affects far more than you realize. In business and in life, your energy is your brand.

Your Energy Is Your Brand
Something they don’t teach in business school is that your energy is your brand. Before you even speak, people sense whether you’re grounded or anxious, calm or overwhelmed, present or distracted. Energy speaks before words. And, learning to trust yourself requires becoming aware of what you emit and absorb.
Beyond Physical Stamina
When most people hear the word “energy,” they think of physical stamina. Rest, exercise, and nutrition absolutely matter. But there’s another layer of energy that often gets overlooked: the internal state you carry into every conversation, meeting, and relationship.
My work with Mary Maynard, a registered nurse and medical intuitive, led me to realize that my energy had been leaking for years. I was absorbing other people’s stress, urgency, emotions, and expectations without understanding the toll it was taking on me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I had never learned how to establish energetic boundaries, so I was constantly carrying more than belonged to me.

That realization changed the way I viewed exhaustion. What I had always labeled as burnout or mental fatigue was not only physical and emotional, but also spiritual. Protecting my aura, the energetic field around me, became intentional. I’m now aware of what I allow into my mind, body, and spirit.
